Annual Multi Trip Travel Insurance
Now With Optional War & Armed Conflict Cover
Annual Multi Trip policies may be a cost effective travel insurance option for those travellers who travel frequently each year or might just be planning a year with a higher number of trips than normal in a 12 month period. Either way the premium of an annual multi trip policy can work out to be cheaper than the sum of single trip policies depending on the destinations and duration of your planned trips.
How Does An Annual Multi Trip Policy Work ?
Once purchased an annual multi trip policy covers you for an unlimited number of international and domestic trips within the nominated 12 month period of the policy. You are able to travel worldwide except to those destinations that the Australian government has travel sanctions in place. You should always check the Smarttraveller website to see if there are any restrictions on travel to the countries you plan to visit.
To purchase an annual multi trip policy you must be an Australian resident and up to 74 years at the time of purchase You can choose a maximum duration of either 31, 50 or 60 days per trip. If your trip is greater than 60 days please contact us and we can quote on a separate policy for any extra days. If there are two adults on a policy you can either travel together or separately of one another ( Go Plus, Go Elite and Go Ultra policies only ). If you purchase a Go Basic Annual Multi Trip policy adult policyholders must travel together. You can choose the commencement date of the policy ( when you want the 12 month period to start ) but be mindful that the further in advance the commencement date is at the time of purchase the higher the premium.
Dependents under the age of 21 year of age can be included on the policy free of charge but they must be financially dependent on the adult policyholder/s and must travel with at least one adult named on the policy. Dependents can never travel independently of the adult policyholder/s on any policy. Similarly grandchildren can be included on the policy free of charge.
Annual Multi Trip policies by their very nature offer flexibility as it eliminates the need to purchase a travel insurance policy every time you travel. In addition to that you also have the option prior to purchase to add additional cover options such as War Disruption Cover, Cruise Cover, Golf Cover, Water Sports Cover or Business Cover. The Annual Multi Trip policy includes the Snow Sports option giving you 30 days participation in snow sports. You can also choose to remove certain categories of cover that you may not need. You can view these additional covers and exclusions as part of the quoting process or by reading the Product Disclosure Statement ( PDS ).

Cover For Existing Medical Conditions
An important consideration when purchasing travel insurance is to ensure if possible that you get cover for any existing medical condition/s you may have.
Pre Existing Medical Conditions fall into three categories :
- Conditions that are automatically covered.
- Conditions that must be declared ( either always or based on timing )
- Conditions that cannot be covered under any circumstances
If you have a Pre-Existing Medical Condition, you must follow these steps before purchasing your policy :
- Check the Automatically Covered Conditions list in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). If your condition is listed and you meet all the eligibility criteria, you do not need to declare it.
- If you have a medical condition that is not automatically covered, you’ll need to declare it and complete a quick medical screening before purchasing. Go Insurance will review your details and let you know if cover can be offered. If they’re unable to provide cover for your condition, they’ll let you know so that you can explore other options.
Go Insurance will assess your medical screening and confirm whether they are able to offer cover. If confirmed there may be an additional premium to pay.
For further details please carefully read the Existing Medical Conditions section of the Product Disclosure Statement ( PDS ).
