International Travel can be one of life's most rewarding experiences. Whether you are travelling on a holiday to experience a new country, its culture and cuisine or just travelling on a business trip it is important these days to ensure that you travel with the appropriate travel insurance cover for your particular trip.

Go Insurance are at the forefront of innovation when it comes to travel insurance in the Australian marketplace. The end result is that you end up purchasing a policy that covers you for your specific trip with the travel insurance cover that is important to you.

Three International Travel Insurance Options

Go Insurance flexible leisure policies are available in three levels of cover. Depending on the level of benefits that you decide upon you can choose from either

No matter which level of cover you decide upon the cancellation cover for your trip can be set from a total of $1,000 cancellation cover in increments all the way up to unlimited cancellation cover. The cancellation cover chosen should cover the total cost of the trip for all travellers on the policy.

With Go Insurance you also have the flexibility to choose the excess that you are willing to pay in the event of a claim. You can choose either a $100, $ 200, $ 300 or a nil excess which will vary your premium accordingly depending on which excess that you choose.

Cover For Existing Medical Conditions

An important consideration when purchasing travel insurance is to ensure if possible that you get cover for existing medical condition/s you may have.

Pre Existing Medical Conditions fall into three categories :

  1. Conditions that are automatically covered.
  2. Conditions that must be declared ( either always or based on timing )
  3. Conditions that cannot be covered under any circumstances

If you have a Pre-Existing Medical Condition, you must follow these steps before purchasing your policy :

  1. Check the Automatically Covered Conditions list in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). If your condition is listed and you meet all the eligibility criteria, you do not need to declare it.
  2. If you have a medical condition that is not automatically covered, you'll need to declare it and complete a quick medical screening before purchasing. Go Insurance will review your details and let you know if cover can be offered. If they're unable to provide cover for your condition, they'll let you know so that you can explore other options.

Go Insurance will assess your medical screening and confirm whether they are able to offer cover. If confirmed there may be an additional premium to pay.

For further details please carefully read the Existing Medical Conditions section of the Product Disclosure Statement ( PDS ).
