International Travel Insurance – Save 25%
International travel can be a fantastic and rewarding experience but it may not always go according to plan. Having a comprehensive travel insurance policy will give you peace of mind whilst overseas. There are a range of International travel insurance plans to choose from each with varying levels of benefits in the categories of cover offered. You can choose from 5 levels of cover from an top cover down to a more budget cover.
All International Travel Insurance plans include cover for overseas emergency medical & hospital expenses and emergency assistance/evacuation. The International travel insurance plans include many categories of cover including cover for cancellation fees, luggage and personal effects, travel delay expenses, personal liability and rental vehicle insurance excess and many more.
We give you the option to choose the plan that is right for you taking into consideration the different benefit limits across the range of plans. It is important to carefully consider the differences between the plans to ensure you are fully covered for your travelling scenario. Your level of cancellation cover should be enough to cover the total cost of your trip.

Cover Type and Destinations
Our insurer offers Travel Insurance policies that can be either single, duo or family policies. There is no no age limit with four of their International Travel Insurance plans.
If travelling to more than one overseas destination:
- You select the main destination category where you plan to spend the majority of your time during your policy. You are then covered wherever else you may travel for the rest of your journey.
Cruise Cover is included in all the international policies. If you are cruising in Australian waters, or to Indonesia, Fiji and New Zealand, you will need to purchase a travel insurance policy for the South-West Pacific region which includes Pacific cruising. This ensures that you are covered medically whilst on board the cruise ship. If you are spending the majority of your time in international waters then you will need to indicate ‘Worldwide Cruises’ as the destination region.
- Variation of Standard Excess - There is a standard excess of $150 per claim. For all plans except for the Budget plan you can reduce the excess on your policy to Nil, or you can increase your excess to $250.
- Specified Luggage and Personal Effects Cover - Included in most plans is a certain level of luggage and personal effects cover. The PDS outlines the individual item limits. Also additional cover can be purchased for specified items, by paying an additional premium at the time your Certificate of Insurance is issued.
- Skiing and snowboarding are automatically included in the policies (off-piste excluded). Many other adventure activities are also included. Please contact us to confirm that the activity you are planning is covered.
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions
This is a very important aspect to consider when purchasing your travel insurance: your pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered automatically. If required, you are able to apply for coverage for your pre-existing medical conditions on all comprehensive Travel Insurance plans. Please contact us for a quote that will include more information about the automatically covered conditions and the medical assessment procedure.
